Ms. Andrea Love Art and Gifted Educator
I have several informative items to cover with all my wonderful parents. This information is on Class Dojo as well. I apologize for having this placed on Dojo, Email and my Website, but communication is key.
October the 8th I will not be present. This is a Monday. I must go to a Doctor appointment in St. Louis with my significant other, Richard, from his accident a year ago on this day. I will miss my 4th and 2nd graders
We will be going to the State Capitol on Feb. 26th to advocate for Gifted Education. You are welcome to attend. I want to set up a tour of the Governor’s Mansion and set up a lunch date with one of the officials below. Which official do you feel would be the best to eat lunch with and discuss Gifted Education with them? I have emailed a letter to Mr. Rowden, if you feel that we should try to meet with someone else, please let me know.

I am in the process of setting up a Service Event trip to the Food Bank. I am communicating with the Food Bank about November 7, from 8-10:30 am. Students will tour the facility and learn the importance of the facility and the big part they play in by providing the Buddy Pack system for students all over Missouri. Students will help pack the food into Bags at the Food Bank. If you would like to donate funds toward the program, I will sent that flyer out as well. It cost $180.00 per child a year to provide the Buddy Pack for those in need. I thought it would be a wonderful treat to attend a Museum after working at the Food Bank. I am working on that as we speak and I cannot divulge the idea just yet. I will let you know more very soon.
I hope that everyone has been receiving my weekly announcements after your child leaves the TAG classroom. All information is posted on Dojo, Email through SiS, Administrators, and on my website. The classroom photos posted on Dojo are only under your students’ grade. I asked parents at the Handbook meeting if they felt it would be better to have a group just for their students’ grade. You asked and I developed the six different groups. I will post on the large (old) TAG group that I set up last year for general information for all to see at one time. If you do not have access to the individual classroom photo posts, please email me a request and I will add you in the group. I do not want anyone to miss any special photos.
In addition, a parent is investigating how to get funds for some of the robots students enjoyed using at our field trip to Morenet. I am also looking at a few grants as well. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Students signed a big “Thank You Card” for Morenet. I will be dropping that off very soon. I will try to send a photo of it before I drop it off.
Wheew! We have a lot going on in the classroom! Thank you for your patience and reading through all of this. Let me know if I missed something and/or if you have any suggestions!
Have a wonderful day!
Ms. Andrea Love
