We were on a mission today! We dived into our letter to the Senator! I did not anticipate us being able to finish it earlier this week but I put the challenge on the table and we succeeded! We had our goal to complete the letter and then went on to master a new coding program online, Tinker. It is a different setup but more animated. I believe overall the students will conquer it as well! See below of our schedule. Please send in permission slips for our field trip on the 26th as soon as possible.

You are writing a letter to your State Representative, Mr. Rowden.
Please ask him the question, Why don't all schools have a Gifted Program? Then discuss why you feel that having a Gifted program is important to you in your letter. Why is it important to you to be involved in the TAG (Talented and Gifted) classroom?
Discussion and lesson:
What is Advocacy, Passing a Bill into a Law. What is a professional letter, How to write a letter to the Senator.
Students are writing a letter that talks about who we are, why gifted classrooms are important to Missouri students, and passing the HB 122 and 136 bills into a Missouri Law.
