Ms. Andrea Love Art and Gifted Educator
Today in TAG for 3rd grade we practiced how to come to the new big classroom from the gym to the 3rd grade wing. We also practiced how we enter the room, put away our backpacks, sign our name on the board, pick up our composition books/pencil and read the writing prompt on the board. We also had a circle discussion about class ideas and share time.
We as a class decided to start a compliment jar. As a class we will receive a marble in the jar when the entire class is showing respect, being responsible and being safe in the TAG classroom. After receiving 25 marbles, we will have a PJ party, dance party, game party or snack party for part of the class time.
We had free discovery time before learning how to sign into our new Chromebooks. We will be learning how to use Google Classroom along with understanding how to be a responsible digital citizen using the Everfi online simulation.
The transition to second grade is a challenge for some students and as a TAG group we want to help our friends know that we are all in this together.
If you have not signed the permission form for the field trip on Monday, Sept. 11th, OR signed the handbook form, please send those to my mailbox or slide under my door at DB or email it back to me as soon as possible.
Lastly, I want the TAG classroom to be an environment to be challenged and learn how to use our emotions in a respectful, responsible, and safe manner. David Barton Disciplinary Handbook applies to the TAG classroom therefore, any disciplinary issues will be handled as the DB handbook states.
If you have any questions or comments, please email me or send a message via Dojo to set up a time to talk.
Thank you for a great second week at the DB classroom!
