Today was a fun filled yet engaged day in TAG for 2nd graders. Check out Dojo for photos of students learning about technology terms and how to be a programmer on Kodable.com
We had our writing prompt: What make you happy at school or at home? Students came into class and went straight to their composition books without a reminder. After our writing, I surprised students with pumpkins to paint. We had our exploratory time and one student choose to play the Cool Cash Bingo with Ms. Love and the other student choose to read and play along with the Bingo. We watched a video about "Pete the Cat and The Missing Buttons" along with other fun stories of Pete the Cat while painting. The lesson learned about the story was to not let small situations ruin your day. A great reminder for us who want life to go as planned.
We played an assessment check about the world of technology terms and learned that humans really are smarter than the computer. Students enjoyed programming the Kodable game to help Fuzzy get to his/her destination.
Thank you for sharing you child in the TAG room. I have missed them as we seem to miss school on Mondays!
Please remember to drop off your student at the David Barton building on Wednesday by 7:15 am. Our appointment is at 8:00 am at the Food Bank.
I am still in need of a couple of parents to help chaperone. Please let me know if you are able to help.
